Environmental Technician

The Doe Run Company is seeking an Environmental Technician to support and ensure compliance with all applicable environmental regulations including CWA, RCRA, SPCC, CAA, NPDES, PDW, Settlement Agreement, and Transportation AOC. The Environmental Technician will also maintain required records for all environmental permits and plans. This position is located in South East Missouri at our Mining and Milling Division in Viburnum.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist with maintenance of the ISO 14001 environmental management system through internal auditing, training, and technical site support.
Assist with data management for applicable regulatory and operational reporting. Document status, key issues, and progress on assigned projects.
Conduct water-sampling activities. Provide site training on Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, RCRA, and ISO 14001.
Work with site to ensure compliance with all applicable environment regulations including CWA, RCRA, SPCC, CAA, NPDES, PDW, Settlement Agreement, and Transportation AOC.
Maintain required records for all environmental permits and plans.
Oversee handling and disposal of all hazardous waste and non-hazardous waste.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Credentials:
Associate's Degree in Environmental Science, Biological Science, or related field
Valid, current driver's license
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1 to 3 years of experience working in a lab or outdoor setting
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite. Adaptive, AutoCAD, and PeopleSoft experience would be beneficial but not required.
Comfortable speaking and presenting material in a group setting necessary.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
