Research and Technical Development Process Engineer

The Doe Run Company is seeking a Mineral Processing/Hydrometallurgical Process Engineer to drive process development and improvements with a focus on discovery, evaluation and acquisition of base metal resources. This position will report through the Research and Technical Development department located in Viburnum, MO.
Responsibilities:
Conducting, reviewing, interpreting and documenting research experiments for the bench and pilot scale.
Develop and evaluate plans for pilot and commercial process
Engage third parties to expedite testing and development of design criteria
Prepare, calculate and evaluate mass balances and equipment sizing
Conduct economic evaluation based on testing and identify best economic direction
Provide communication to team members, third parties and management on the status including writing reports and presentations
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or related field
0-5 year(s) hands-on work experience in a manufacturing environment with a proven track record of measurable results
Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and critical thinking skills
Skills & Abilities:
Must possess the ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, and Outlook; Microsoft Access a plus
Background in Pb-Zn Flotation a plus
Familiarity with process modeling software a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
